Diamond Platnumz’s manager Sallam SK has revealed that he has tested positive of the dreaded coronavirus.
“The results come back and I am positive with coronavirus but I am doing fine and everything is going on well,” he said. “Right now, I am under observation and my health is good, I am all alone at the ward as if I have hired this whole place for myself. I thank the nurses and the general administration for the care they gave me since I arrived two days ago,” he added.
Sallam was recently in Switzerland, Denmark, and France where coronavirus is spreading fast. He returned to Tanzania on March 14, 2020.
Tanzania confirmed its first case of the coronavirus pandemic on Monday in the northern town of Arusha. The patient, a 46-year-old Tanzanian woman, had returned from Belgium on Sunday aboard a RwandAir plane.
Two new coronavirus cases were reported on Thursday, raising the total to three, Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa confirmed. The government suspended access social gatherings and ordered the closure of schools.
The minister also said they are following up on 66 people in Dar es Salaam and 46 others in Arusha who might have been in contact with the patients.
